“When visiting Bucerias, we would recommend you spend an evening (or two) at the Cas Mexi-Cana restaurant which is run by a couple of very nice Canadian fellas. We found the outdoor ambiance of the restaurant lovely and enjoyed the relaxing music of a one-man band playing the clarinet. Pizza’s are their specialty, you can watch them being prepared and then baked in the gas fired oven. We ordered focaccia bread as an appie and a vegetarian pizza. Both were delicious. Prices are reasonable and the restaurant was very clean. Thank you for the lovely evening Ross and Greg. We hope we get to visit you again soon. Linda and Tom”

“This is a newer place and a must! Located in golden zone with the most delightful atmosphere. But the pizza is the star! Wood oven with the perfect delicate crust! Many options for toppings available. There are a few food entrees but we did not try, opted for the pizza twice. The owner will respond to your calls. Open high season with a great staff. You must meet Mario for super service. And to top it off the greatest violinist to enjoy your dinner. Please go!”

“Our friends were staying here. When I saw the pizza oven, I told them I wanted to try it. Was not disappointed. We had the margarita pizza and mango margaritas Tuesday evening, January 14, 2025. It was delicious, the service was fantastic and the atmosphere in the little courtyard was wonderful. We will be back for sure.”

“Casa Mexi-Cana – Bucerías (Unit 203) We stayed for 20 nights in January 2026 with two people and had an excellent experience. The suite was better than advertised and had everything needed to be completely self-sufficient. We had a separate bedroom with a king size bed, but the suite could have easily accommodated more people. The kitchen was fully equipped, including an air fryer, slow cooker and blender and the large deck had a bbq and outdoor tables and chairs — perfect for cooking at home. The property is gated, secure, and set in a beautiful garden environment. The beach is less than a five-minute walk, and beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers, and other essentials were all included. The pool was perfect after a hot day, with pool/beach towels always available. Our unit was on the second floor and overlooked the pool and lush gardens, which made for a very relaxing setting. The location is ideal—restaurants, bars, and grocery stores are plentiful, with at least a dozen options within a ten-minute walk. Check-in was seamless, and Ross, the owner, was excellent to deal with. He communicated quickly, answered all questions, ensured housekeeping and grounds are always well maintained. I had to work while away, but working on this deck overlooking the pool and foliage was a great place to work. The internet was great as well, I had no issues with it like I did elsewhere in Bucerias. We spoke with Ross by phone before booking and he answered all of our questions right away. We felt confident that we had made the right choice. Ross met us on sight and showed us around and was available on site during our stay. We would highly recommend Casa Mexicana to anyone looking for a great stay in Bucerías. PS, Ross also gave us fantastic recommendations for local restaurants, small mom-and-pop eateries, sights and places to visit.”

“They were a bit short staffed tonight. Greg, (Manager / owner) preemptively explained their predicament. That said, the service was great, the pizza was delicious (order some olive oil on the side to dip your crust in), and the prices were VERY reasonable! We will definitely be back!”

“Went for happy hour today not sure what to expect. I saw online that they were understaff, but the pictures looked promising. We were not disappointed! Their mango margaritas are definitely recommended along with their pizza (we ordered a canadian but received a meat lovers - we weren't upset though!) The woodfire pizza was so fresh and tasty, but the chorizo fondue will bring us back again before we leave! I'm no food critic, but man was the food enjoyable and flavourful! The atmosphere is very relaxing and authentic, from the soothing water wall and the beautiful greenery throughout the patio. One thing I recommend is to make a reservation aheas of time. Its definitely worth trying this place out - we will be back for seconds.”

“Stopped last night for the first time this season. Ross asked for an honest revue. When we arrived the place was full which is very good to see. We were seated right away, luckily they had a table for two. As it was packed, the wait staff was crazy busy and it took a bit to get a server to come to our table. We ordered our drinks and a pizza at the same time seeing how busy it was. The pizza Go-Canadian was 100 percent. It was great, dough sauce, toppings were great. The pizza chef really had it going on. He really knew what he was doing, way to go. My wife had a mango margarita, which could have been blended more, I had a pacifico, which could have been colder but drinkable, but my second was barely cool. Now, I am not being negative, as I was told to be honest in my review. We frequented Casa Mexican last year, and will continue to come this year, as the venue is amazing! Looking forward to going back for some of the other menu items. See you soon Ross”
